The kiddos want to celebrate the new year just like the adults and we’ve found some fund places to take the kids for New Year’s Eve Countdown parties and family events. Most are during the day so the adults can go out at night once the children are tucked in bed and grandma has come over to watch them or the babysitter arrives.

The annual Hartford New Year’s celebration “First Night” is back and better than ever! There will be two spectacular fireworks shows scheduled in Bushnell Park. One at 6 PM for younger attendants and one at 12 AM, midnight for adults and older children. The fireworks can be viewed throughout the city by thousands of visitors and residents. First Night also includes multi-cultural activities, events, performances, and more!
