Inspired by the living history museums in the human world such as Mystic Seaport\, Greenfield Village\, Sturbridge Village\, and Colonial Williamsburg\, Yesterville is just the place for the faeries to experience the joys of yesteryear. \nYou can explore the ways of yesteryear and visit these types of historic spaces: Covered Bridge\, Light House\, Windmill\, Tavern\, Town Hall\, Inn\, Print Shop\, Farmstead\, Boardinghouse\, Blacksmith Shop\, Train Station\, Stable – and much more! \nThe event features over two dozen faerie installations as well as a fun roster of special events to compliment the theme. \nSince 2009 over 190\,000 visitors have immersed themselves in the spirit of imagination and whimsy that comes from visiting at least two dozen pint-sized installations across the Museum’s campus on a perfect autumn day\, and this will be no exception! \nWatch the Museum’s social media (Facebook\, Instagram\, YouTube) for special updates and behind the scenes content. \nOpening at 10:00 am until 5:00 pm\, admission includes access to the Wee Faerie Village outdoor exhibition and the special exhibitions in the Krieble Gallery\, as well as the historic Florence Griswold House and the rest of the Museum’s facilities. DESCRIPTION:Saturday September 14th\, 2024 the annual Brown’s Harvest Touch-A-Truck from 10am until 2pm. 25% of all proceeds go to Make-A-Wish Foundation. \nYou will be able to see a large variety of vehicles up close. They have it all! City and school bus\, Cement\, Crane\, Garbage and mail trucks\, all emergency response vehicles\, SWAT\, National Guard\, Big Rig Tow Truck\, a variety of tractors\, and more! \nLet your kids run around and admire the vehicles\, take photos\, honk horns and play activities and games. There will be local vendors\, frozen lemonade slushies\, Chick-Fil-A Food Truck\, the jump pad\, and face painting! \n
