SUMMARY:Annual Community Carol Sing at Mystic Seaport Museum
DESCRIPTION:The Annual Community Carol Sing will be held on Sunday\, December 17\, 2023. Mystic Seaport visitors will be admitted Free of charge on this day from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm with a non-perishable food item. As in the past\, donations of non-perishable food will be collected as well as monetary donations and are to be accepted at the North Gate and the South Gate. The donated food and contributions will be given to the Pawcatuck Neighborhood Center. \nThe Mystic Seaport Carolers will perform a holiday concert in the Greenmanville Church at 2 p.m. The Carol Sing will commence on the deck of the Thompson Exhibition Building and McGraw Quadrangle at 3 p.m. led by Associate Professor of Music and Director of Choral Studies at the University of Connecticut\, Jamie Spillane\, and backed by The Mystic Seaport Museum Carolers\, and a brass quartet. \nVisitors should meet on the quad just before 3:00pm. Song books will be loaned out to visitors for the caroling. \n

SUMMARY:The Annual Woodies at Mystic Seaport Meet
DESCRIPTION:The Annual Woodies at Mystic Seaport Meet will be held on Saturday July 22\, in conjunction with the 6th Annual National Woodie Club Meet. Fifty or more Woodies of different makes and vintages are expected to be on display on the green throughout the day. \nBetween 3:00-3:30pm the Woodies will parade around and off the grounds. Visitors enjoy seeing the cars in motion and hearing some of the unique horns as they depart. \nThe display area will have both National Woodie Club and Yankee Wood Chapter (New England) tents with members that can help with useful information and club merchandise. Visitors will have the opportunity to vote for the Favorite Woodie Award. \nHave a vehicle you would like to include in the display?
