Plus\, no visit is complete without a trip through the tropical Butterfly Encounter (small additional fee)\, and be part of the show with their daily LIVE Science demos. The Connecticut Science Museum has snow much fun waiting for you on your school break\, come on out and join us. \n \nDaily Storytime\nDaily at 11:30 am and 1 pm\, join Connecticut Science Center staff as they read fun\, science-themed\, stories to your little ones. It is the perfect break for children 6 and under. \nDaily Live Gallery Science\nJoin us for fun\, interactive LIVE science demonstrations. There are dozens of programs on a variety of science topics. Programs and times change weekly. Live Gallery Science is included FREE with a paid admission or a Connecticut Science Center Membership. \nTrain Time Now Showing\nJoin the crew of a giant freight train for an eye-popping\, music-infused journey across America. Giant diesels\, spectacular terrain\, tens of thousands of miles of track—and millions of pounds of freight that can’t wait. To deliver the cargo\, Train Time propels audiences through the rugged beauty and vastness of the American landscape\, revealing the brutal challenges of railroading and secrets of the art and science of running the greatest trains. Train Time immerses viewers in a grand tapestry of American railroading. Climb aboard for the biggest adventure on wheels. \nHoliday Light Festival and Market\nAfter an exciting day of hands-on Science here at the Connecticut Science Center\, walk next door for a one-of-a-kind\, family-friendly indoor festival of lights – more than a million! GLOW Hartford invites you to marvel at our hanging lights\, explore an enchanted forest\, try the scavenger hunt\, see Santa Claus\, and more! GLOW Hartford will entertain all ages with seasonal food and music\, a holiday market\, and fun activities. \nScience Workshop: Drawing with DNA\nEvery living thing contains a secret message inside it—its DNA! Come extract the DNA of different fruits and use it to create your very own marker. Write a colorful message using the code of a cherry or with the secrets inside of a strawberry. Take your marker home to continue your DNA drawings. \nTwo sessions per day are available:  11AM or 12:30PM\n45-minute Workshop\nAges 7-12\nA General Admission ticket or Membership is required to participate (sold separately)\nOnly registered children will be allowed in the Workshop \nTICKETS: $6 per child aged 7-12 (limited seats available)
