DESCRIPTION:What Lurks Beneath: A Halloween Experience at Mystic Seaport Museum will be held on October 20th (canceled for weather)\, October 26\, 27\, 28\, 29\, 2023 from 6 to 8:30 pm \nDo you believe in sea monsters? This Halloween\, discover “what lurks beneath” at Mystic Seaport Museum! Explore our indoor and outdoor spaces as the mysteries of the ocean come out to play: see incredible Kraken-inspired tentacles climbing the rigging of the Charles W. Morgan whaleship\, take a spooky guided tour to hear about the creatures of the deep from the sailors that encountered them\, view fascinating and creepy marine specimens from our collection\, and check out our newest exhibit of glass invertebrates in Spineless. \nIn addition\, enjoy hands-on activities for the whole family: create your own sea monster or mermaid craft\, print a card with historic sea monster illustrations\, and engage your imagination at the children’s mini-ship playscape\, decked out with ghostly lighting. \nHalloween-themed food and beverages will be available at Spouter Tavern as you investigate the unknown\, and decide for yourself whether you believe in monsters of the deep!
