SUMMARY:Wee Faerie Village at the Florence Griswold Museum
DESCRIPTION:Follow the Faerie House walking trail and marvel at the artistry and magic of over two dozen pint-sized dwellings; going on now until November 3rd\, 2024. \nThis year’s Wee Faerie Village theme?! ‍♂️ Yesterville: A Wee Old-Timey Town! ‍♀️ \nEveryone has a history\, including the wee faerie folk. Inspired by the living history museums in the human world such as Mystic Seaport\, Greenfield Village\, Sturbridge Village\, and Colonial Williamsburg\, Yesterville is just the place for the faeries to experience the joys of yesteryear. \nYou can explore the ways of yesteryear and visit these types of historic spaces: Covered Bridge\, Light House\, Windmill\, Tavern\, Town Hall\, Inn\, Print Shop\, Farmstead\, Boardinghouse\, Blacksmith Shop\, Train Station\, Stable – and much more! \nThe event features over two dozen faerie installations as well as a fun roster of special events to compliment the theme. \nSince 2009 over 190\,000 visitors have immersed themselves in the spirit of imagination and whimsy that comes from visiting at least two dozen pint-sized installations across the Museum’s campus on a perfect autumn day\, and this will be no exception! \nWatch the Museum’s social media (Facebook\, Instagram\, YouTube) for special updates and behind the scenes content. \nOpening at 10:00 am until 5:00 pm\, admission includes access to the Wee Faerie Village outdoor exhibition and the special exhibitions in the Krieble Gallery\, as well as the historic Florence Griswold House and the rest of the Museum’s facilities. All visitors are responsible for the additional special event admission. During this time\, Museum passes\, Library passes\, 2-for-1 offers\, and other discounts apply to the regular admission fee. \n$20 Adults\n$19 Seniors (62+)\n$18 Students (13+)\n$5 Children (ages 5-12)\nMembers: Free\nChildren 4 and under are free \nFree Admission is extended to SNAP/EBT cardholders (good for four people per visit) with no additional event fee. \nPre-purchased tickets are NOT required.
