DESCRIPTION:On August 27th\, 2023\, the Wadsworth Mansion at Long Hill Estate in Middletown\, Connecticut will host the Open Air Market & Festival from 10 am to 4 pm. The event is open to the public rain or shine and is free of charge. \nDuring the festival\, the historic mansion will be transformed into a marketplace where a variety of vendors will gather to sell their Connecticut-grown or made products. Visitors can stroll from tent to tent\, purchasing fresh produce\, fruit\, cheese\, breads\, and prepared foods. Additionally\, local artisans such as potters\, painters\, and jewelers will showcase and sell their work. \nVisitors are encouraged to relax on the lawn with lunch while listening to live music on the patio. Families are welcome to bring their children to enjoy the day. This will be a great opportunity to discover the Wadsworth Mansion\, appreciate art and music\, and experience the tradition of shopping at an open-air market. \nThroughout the day\, there will be children’s and musical entertainment featured. The Friends of Long Hill Estate will give docent-led historical tours. \nParking will be available at Wilbert Snow School\, Mercy High School\, and Vinal High School. However\, the most convenient parking is at Mercy High School\, as the mansion parking is reserved for handicapped and families with strollers only. A shuttle will run between Snow School and the Mansion and Vinal High School and Mercy High School.
