The Annual Guilford Fair this September
The gates to The Guilford Fair are set to open at 4:00pm, Friday, September 15, 2023 and will run for three days – September 15, 16, and 17. The Guilford Fair is one of the oldest agricultural fairs in the state, having been established in 1859, and it has since become a beloved tradition for many Connecticut residents.
The fair takes place over the course of three days, typically during the third weekend of September, and features a wide range of activities and events. There are agricultural exhibits showcasing livestock such as cows, horses, and sheep, as well as displays of homegrown produce, flowers, and other crops.

There are also a variety of competitions, including baking contests, pie-eating contests, and tractor pulls. Additionally, the fair features carnival rides, live music performances, and a large selection of food vendors selling classic fair foods like fried dough, cotton candy, and corn dogs.
The Guilford Fair also has a strong community focus, with many local organizations and businesses participating in the festivities. It is a great way for the community to come together and celebrate the town’s agricultural heritage, as well as enjoy some good old-fashioned fun.
