The New Haven Ballet will present The Nutcracker at the Shubert Theatre, December, 16-18, 2022 for four shows. This production is performed by students from New Haven Ballet with guest artists from New York City Ballet.

New Haven Ballet proudly presents Artistic Director Lisa Kim Sanborn’s exciting full length production of The Nutcracker at Shubert Theatre New Haven. This wonderful classic, set to music by Pytor Ilyich Tchaikovsky, tells the story of the Von Stahlbaum family as they celebrate the holidays with a festive party, and brings to life a dream young Clara Von Stahlbaum experiences after the party ends. From her Uncle Drosselmeyer’s enchanting nephew, who charms Clara at the party, to the daring battle between the fierce Mouse King and brave soldiers lead by the heroic Nutcracker Prince, to the Land of Snow and eventual journey through the Land of Sweets, this magical holiday tradition is a delight all will enjoy.
