DESCRIPTION:Gather the whole family as Hot Air Balloons take flight at Lyman Orchards all weekend long! Enjoy the beautiful balloon colors and a unique experience for all. This event is sponsored by GasWorks Propane in Wallingford. Free admission! July 7th\, 8th & 9th. \nRain cancels the event entirely. Pets are not allowed. \n \nThe location and timing of the events is subject to change last minute. Please visit lymanorchards.com and follow the Facebook page for the latest updated. All updates will be added to the Facebook page. \n**Hot Air Balloon Rides Are Not Available During the Weekend. The Hot Air Balloons are for viewing only** \nHot Air Balloon Glow:\nFriday\, July 7th\, 7:00pm-9:00pm \n5:00pm – 8:00pm: Arrive early at 1741 Pub & Grill to enjoy dinner and drinks\, with live music from Violet Willows under the Golf Tent. Dinner reservations are strongly encouraged. Call 860-349-6033 or click here. \n7:00pm: Lyman Orchards Golf Course Meadow – Catch the vibe with music from Joe Monthei along with our strolling magician\, The Magic of Christopher\, providing free entertainment. Face Painting by Lara and concessions from Lyman Orchards will be available for purchase. \n7:30pm – 8:00pm*: Balloonists arrival and set up. \n8:45pm – 9:00pm*: Hot Air Balloon Glow begins. In the event of windy weather\, this will change to a Candle Glow in the baskets only. \n9:00pm*: Event concludes \n*All times are approximate\, and subject to change. \nLocation: Lyman Orchards Golf Club Meadow. All cars must park at The Lyman Orchards Golf Club/1741 Pub & Grill\, 70 Lyman Rd\, Middlefield\, and enter through the Route 157/Lyman Road entrance. The entrance to Lyman Road/Route 147 will be closed for the safety of attendees. Drones are extremely dangerous to balloons. Hot Air Balloon rides and tethering are not available during the events. This event is entirely weather dependent; winds greater than 3-5mph will keep the balloons grounded.\nLyman Road will be closed at the entrance of Route 147 (The Lyman Homestead entrance) during the events.
