SUMMARY:Fairy Tale Scavenger Hunt at Hay Burr Inn Equine Rescue & Sanctuary
DESCRIPTION:On April 30th from 1 to 4 pm\, step into a fairy tale and meet the rescued equines at Hay Burr Inn Equine Rescue and Sanctuary. The horses will be waiting outside to meet you as you follow the half-mile dirt path trail. Along the way\, keep an eye out for hidden fairies\, unicorns\, and dragons. Please wear appropriate footwear\, as there is a slight hill at the beginning of the trail. \n \nHay Burr Inn Equine Rescue & Sanctuary is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization\, and this event is a donation-based fundraiser to support the care and upkeep of the horses and donkey. No tickets are necessary for entry\, and your donations are greatly appreciated. They will help us continue to rescue equines and provide them with a second chance to enjoy life. \nPlease note that these older\, injured\, or retired horses were either owner surrenders or rescued from the kill pen\, so they are not riding horses. However\, they are incredibly friendly and love attention. \nIf you have any questions about the event\, please refer to the information provided here\, or call or text 860-932-2092. Please be patient with our volunteers\, as they may not be able to answer or reply on the same day due to their busy preparations for the event. \nWhen visiting the sanctuary\, please wear appropriate shoes or boots\, as sandals\, flip flops\, or heels are not permitted. Smoking\, vaping\, and alcohol are also not allowed on the property. For cross-contamination concerns\, we kindly ask that you leave your animals at home. Please wait patiently for the red gate to open for entrance to the event\, as it is there to ensure the horses’ safety on the property. \nThank you for understanding and helping us maintain a safe environment for both humans and animals.
