SUMMARY:Westport Young Woman’s League Annual Minute Man Race
DESCRIPTION:The Westport Young Woman’s League is hosting its annual running of the Minute Man Race on April 30th\, 2023 at the famed Compo Beach\, with all warm-ups starting at 8 am. \nFeaturing a Kids Zone and\, for the first time\, food trucks during and after the race. \nAll Race net proceeds will directly benefit charities located in lower Fairfield County and Westport\, CT. \n \nKids Fun Run Schedule\n8:10 – 8:25AM – Warm Ups\n8:30AM – 50 yard dash (ages 3-5\, boys/girls)\n8:35AM – 100 yard dash (ages 6-7\, boys/girls)\n8:45AM – 1/2 mile race (age 8\, boys/girls)\n8:55AM – 1/2 mile race   (age 9\, boys/girls)\n9:05AM – 1 mile race (age 10\, boys/girls)\n9:15AM – 1 mile race (age 11\, boys/girls)\n9:25AM – 1 mile race (age 12\, boys/girls) \nKids Fun Run Distances\n50 yard dash (ages 3-5)\n100 yard dash (Ages 6-7)\n1/2 mile (Ages 8-9)\n1 mile (Ages 10-12) \nAwards: Kids Fun Runs\nMedals for age 8 and up – 1st\, 2nd\, and 3rd place boy and girl. All other children participating will receive a ribbon. \nParking\nParking is located in a designated area within the gates at Compo Beach or the adjacent Soundview dirt parking lot. No beach sticker needed; parking is free. \nThe main event will consist of a certified USA Track and Field 10K Run\, 5K Run and 5K Walk. The Kids Fun Run will include a 50 yard dash (Ages 3-5)\, 100 yard dash (Ages 6-7)\, 1/2 mile (Ages 8-9)\, 1 mile (Ages 10-12) featuring a Kids Zone during and after the race.
