Foxwoods Resort Casino, the premier resort casino in the Northeast, is celebrating the return of their holiday tradition, the Foxwoods Annual Christmas Tree Lighting. Set to take place Saturday, December 2nd at 7pm at The Fox Tower’s Rink & Winter Terrace, the annual event is a family-friendly event to kick off the holiday season.

The Tree Lighting will feature live performances, seasonal treats and more, culminating in a thrilling tree lighting countdown set to brighten everyone’s holiday. Foxwoods’ beloved Rink and Winter Terrace will also be opening back up to the public, allowing guests to make their way around the ice while basking in the glow of thousands of holiday lights, and warm up from the cold in Foxwoods’ village of cozy, pop-up themed igloos.

This year’s event is set to feature an exclusive performance by Martin Johnson of Boys Like Girls, who will be playing holiday classics to get audiences into the festive spirit. The Gold-certified rock band from Massachusetts recently released their fourth studio album, Sunday at Foxwoods, their first in ten years featuring singles such as “Blood and Sugar” and “The Outside.”

The event will also spotlight American Paralympian and Survivor Season 42 contestant, Noelle Lambert. After suffering a life-changing injury that resulted in the amputation of part of her left leg, Lambert defied the odds to compete in track & field on Team USA in the 2021 Paralympics in Tokyo. She currently holds the American record for fastest 100-meter race, and is now training for the chance to compete in the 2026 Winter Paralympics in Italy.

Guests in attendance can truly immersive themselves in the start of the holiday season with a variety of different holiday experiences and events all weekend long, including a magical Breakfast With Santa at Cedars Steak & Oysters on Saturday, December 2, and Boozy Brunch Hosted by the Grinch on Sunday, December 3.
